Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • Team Management & Training: Assign daily duties, manage shift schedules, and provide on-the-job training to housekeeping, janitorial, and pantry staff. 
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic standards are consistently met. Address client feedback and correct deficiencies promptly. 
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines, wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and handle hazardous materials or waste properly. 
Inventory & Stock Control: Monitor, track, and forecast the usage of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and pantry items. Coordinate with procurement to maintain adequate stock levels. 
Vendor & Contract Management: Oversee the performance of external contractors (e.g., pest control, landscaping) to ensure agreed-upon scope and quality are delivered. 
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, stock consumption, and safety audits. Prepare periodic reports for the Operations or Facility Manager. 
Typical Requirements
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Facilities Management, or a related field. Certifications like BICSc (British Institute of Cleaning Science) are often preferred.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in housekeeping or facility management, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, proficiency in local languages and English, basic computer literacy (MS Office), and a solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
