Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Operative Care: Prepare and sterilize the operating room, check equipment, greet and position patients safely on the table, and assist the anesthesia team during induction.
Intra-Operative Care: Maintain strict aseptic techniques, hand instruments and supplies to the surgical team (as a scrub nurse), monitor vital signs, and track accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
Post-Operative Care: Clean surgical sites, manage specimen collections, transfer patients safely to recovery, and update patient medical records.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Diploma in Nursing (GNM) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing / BSN).
Licensure: Valid state or national registered nurse (RN) license.
Experience: Prior clinical experience in an operating theatre or perioperative setting.
Skills: Strong knowledge of aseptic procedures, high stamina, calm demeanor under pressure, and clear communication.
