Job Description:

Core Duties and Responsibilities
Instruction and Skill Development
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and execute structured, curriculum-aligned PE lessons that cater to varying skill levels and abilities. 
  • Skill Teaching: Instruct fundamental movement patterns (e.g., running, catching) and sport-specific techniques (e.g., dribbling, serving). 
  • Fitness Education: Educate students on the core components of physical fitness, such as strength, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility. 
Assessment and Administration
  • Student Evaluation: Track progress, conduct physical assessments, and grade students based on their participation, motor skill application, and knowledge.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance, medical exemptions, and performance metrics.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain, inventory, and distribute sports equipment safely.
Student Wellness and Safety
  • Safe Environments: Ensure all exercises and games are conducted safely, enforcing rules and teaching proper injury prevention.
  • Health Monitoring: Assist with student medical examinations and address individual health concerns.
  • Active Lifestyle Promotion: Encourage students to achieve daily physical activity targets and make healthy lifestyle choices outside the classroom. 
Events and Extracurricular Activities
  • Organizing Events: Plan and coordinate school-wide athletic programs, such as Sports Days, fun runs, and field days.
  • Coaching: Lead after-school sports teams, prepare students for inter-school competitions, and foster good sportsmanship. 
Collaboration and Communication
  • Parental Outreach: Communicate with parents regarding student progress, fitness goals, and athletic achievements.
  • Staff Collaboration: Work alongside general educators and school administration to integrate physical activity into the broader school culture.
