Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • Media Relations & Press Operations: Develop press strategies, write press releases, and pitch stories to Tier 1 business and trade media to secure coverage. Build long-term relationships with journalists covering energy and natural resources.
  • Brand Reputation & Crisis Management: Manage brand perception and draft responses to negative media coverage. Create and implement crisis communication strategies. 
  • Stakeholder & Public Affairs Alignment: Align PR messaging with business development, public affairs, and project stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and consistency. 
  • Digital PR & Social Media Strategy: Coordinate with social media teams to craft narratives, manage campaigns across platforms like LinkedIn, and bolster digital storytelling. 
  • Thought Leadership & Events: Identify speaking opportunities at industry conferences, manage sponsorships, and organize corporate events (e.g., groundbreaking or plant interconnections). 
  • Internal Communication: Manage internal communication channels, support employee engagement campaigns, and educate staff on corporate milestones. 
Key Qualifications
  • Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 6 to 10+ years of corporate communication or public relations experience, with a proven track record in the energy, power, or infrastructure markets. 
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing. 
  • Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, strategic thinking, crisis management, and the ability to act as a company spokesperson.
