Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Accounting & Bookkeeping: Manage billing, payroll, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), general ledger (GL), and cost accounting.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Coordinate budget preparation, assist departments with financial planning, and monitor performance variances.
Internal Controls & Audits: Develop and enforce business processes and accounting policies to safeguard assets and reduce risk. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Tax & Compliance: Manage local, state, and central tax filings, ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor liquidity, oversee debt collections, and assist in cash management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- Certifications: Professional accounting designations such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
- Experience: Typically 5-10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including supervisory or management experience.
- Skills: High proficiency with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems), advanced Excel skills, deep knowledge of GAAP or IFRS, and strong communication and leadership abilities.
