Job Description:

• Procurement Strategy & Execution: Lead end-to-end soybean sourcing across various regions, identifying new vendors and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and farmers.
• Trading & Risk Management: Actively trade soybean and its products (meal/oil), managing price risk, market exposure (Mark to Market), and counterparty credit risk.
• Supply Chain & Logistics: Oversee the movement of goods from buying points to central warehouses or processing centers, ensuring efficient logistics management.
• Commercial Lead on KPIs: Manage profit & loss (P&L), cost-and-freight (C&F) volumes, and other performance metrics.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor crop production data, supply/demand balances, competitor activities, and regulatory changes (e.g., NCFA, NOPA trade rules) to support strategic positioning.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with production/operations managers to align procurement with crushing capacity, production schedules, and quality standards (e.g., oil/meal content).
• Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage local commercial, logistics, and clerical teams. 
   

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Commerce, Business, or related field; MBA is often preferred.
• Experience: 12–18 years of experience in agri-commodity procurement, trading, or operations, with a strong focus on soybeans.
• Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of balance sheet analysis, position management, and the soybean crushing and refining industry.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems.
