Responsibilities

Comprehensive Primary Care: Provide diagnosis and treatment for acute illnesses (e.g., infections, injuries) and chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, asthma).
Preventive Medicine: Perform routine checkups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and cancer screenings.
Whole-Life Care: Manage the health of patients from newborns to seniors, including women's health (Pap smears, contraceptive advice).
In-Office Procedures: Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing lacerations, skin biopsies, joint injections, and IUD insertions.
Care Coordination: Act as the central hub for patient care, making referrals to specialists, reviewing consultation reports, and following up on patient health.
Emergency Care Management: Initiate emergency treatment for conditions such as shock, trauma, and acute respiratory distress before transferring to higher care.
Patient Education: Counsel patients on lifestyle changes, including nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Key Qualifications and Skills

Education: Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with postgraduate training (MD/DNB/Diploma) in Family Medicine.
Board Certification: Must be board certified or eligible in Family Medicine.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for patient counseling and building trusting, long-term relationships.
