Job Description:

• Cost Management: Preparing initial budgets, cost plans, and detailed cost estimates to ensure profitability.
• Tendering and Procurement: Preparing, analyzing, and negotiating tender documents, contracts, and subcontracts.
• Site Management: Visiting construction sites to monitor progress, verify materials, and value completed work.
• Financial Reporting: Tracking project costs, managing variations, preparing progress payments, and forecasting final expenditure.
• Risk Management: Identifying, mitigating, and managing commercial risks, such as material price fluctuations.
• Contractual Advice: Managing contracts, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. 

• Education: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field (accredited by RICS is often preferred).
• Numerical Skills: Strong proficiency in mathematics, data analysis, and software like MS Excel or specialized surveying software (e.g., CostX).
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate with stakeholders and manage subcontractor relationships.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in measurements and cost calculations.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
