Job Description:
Responsibilities and Duties
- Cost Estimation & Management: Preparing feasibility studies, initial cost estimates, and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Tendering & Procurement: Managing tender submissions, negotiating with contractors/suppliers, and arranging contract documents
.
Financial Monitoring: Controlling project costs, forecasting, and managing variations (changes) to the contract.
Site Evaluation: Visiting construction sites to monitor progress and assess the value of completed work for payments.
Risk Mitigation: Analyzing commercial risks and implementing cost-saving measures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or construction-related fields.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Construction software, MS Excel, measurement software, and understanding of building regulations and contract law.
- Key Skills: Strong numerical skills, meticulous attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication.
