Job Description:
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Typically 5+ years of experience in cost consulting or construction quantity surveying.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced mathematical and numerical skills for highly accurate cost analysis.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction law, contract administration, and building regulations. Ability to validate quantities from structural drawings.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in industry tools such as MS Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
Essential Soft Skills
- Negotiation & Interpersonal: Ability to negotiate terms, manage subcontractor relations, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders like architects and project managers.
- Problem-Solving: Creative approaches to cost optimization and mitigating potential delays.
- Organizational: Strong capability to juggle tight deadlines, handle high-pressure commercial situations, and keep highly detailed documentation.
