Job Description:
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Perform psycho-diagnostic evaluations, interpret tests, and identify emotional/behavioral issues.
- Treatment & Therapy: Deliver evidence-based treatments (e.g., CBT, psychotherapy) to help clients manage mental health conditions.
- Client Care:
Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans, adjusting as needed.
Collaboration: Work with doctors, psychiatrists, and social workers to provide comprehensive care.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of patient progress, evaluations, and treatments.
Specialized Functions: Conduct research, provide forensic evaluations, or work on organizational behavior, depending on specialization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology is typically required, with specialization in clinical, counseling, or school psychology.
- Licensure: State-specific licensure is mandatory to practice.
- Skills: Superior active listening, empathy, critical thinking, and communication skills.
