Job Description:

• Risk Management & Inspections: Proactively identify potential hazards, perform daily site inspections and risk assessments (JSA), and enforce safety standards on machinery and work methods.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and federal safety laws, maintaining necessary safety registers, permits, and documentation.
• Training & Education: Conduct safety inductions for new workers, lead daily or weekly toolbox talks, and demonstrate proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Incident Investigation: Act as a detective, investigating accidents, near-misses, and injuries, implementing root cause analysis, and establishing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency evacuation plans, fire safety procedures, and coordinate safety drills.
• Site Safety Enforcement: Actively stop unsafe behaviors and conditions on-site, ensuring safe usage of equipment such as scaffolding, cranes, and tools. 
   

• Education: Typically requires a degree or diploma in safety management, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation and safety standards (e.g., OSHA).
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to educate workers and enforce policies constructively.
