Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop and organize production schedules to ensure output targets and delivery deadlines are met.
- Budget & Resource Management: Estimate project costs, negotiate budgets, allocate labor, and manage raw material inventory.
- Quality Assurance: Set, implement, and monitor quality control standards to minimize defects and customer complaints.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate production personnel. Conduct staff appraisals and manage shift scheduling.
Health & Safety: Enforce strict compliance with occupational health and safety (OSHA or equivalent) regulations and environmental laws.
Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma strategies to optimize workflows and reduce operational costs.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to resolve conflicts, delegate tasks clearly, and foster a high-performing culture on the shop floor.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Capacity to interpret production KPIs, spot bottlenecks, and make quick, data-driven decisions.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and production management software (e.g., ERP systems).
