Responsibilities

Dashboard Design: Develop, publish, and maintain interactive reports and executive dashboards using Power BI Desktop.
Data Modeling: Design robust semantic models using complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
Data Integration: Connect to multiple data sources (e.g., SQL, Azure, APIs) and execute ETL/ELT processes to extract, clean, and transform data.
Governance & Security: Implement security protocols including Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).
Performance Tuning: Optimize report rendering times, optimize SQL queries, and manage Power BI Service gateways and scheduled refreshes.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and present data trends to non-technical teams.

Essential Technical Skills

Core Tools: Extensive experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Programming & Querying: Advanced SQL querying, and automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell or Python).
Data Warehousing: Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and data warehouse concepts.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud data services (such as Azure Synapse Analytics or Amazon Web Services).
