Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination: Track inbound and outbound shipments, resolve transit issues, and optimize supply chain routes.
Documentation & Customs: Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading. Ensure accuracy for customs clearance to avoid delays and fines.
Compliance: Adhere strictly to international trade regulations, government laws, and import/export tariffs.
Vendor Management: Negotiate pricing, track performance, and liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Customer Service: Update stakeholders on shipment status and provide alternative solutions if supply chain irregularities occur.

Key Qualifications & Skills

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or Logistics.
Experience: Typically 1 to 3+ years of hands-on experience in global trade, cargo operations, or freight forwarding.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Incoterms, Harmonized System (HS) codes, and export filings.
Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle), supply chain management tools, and customs brokerage software.
Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication abilities.
