Job Description:

• Operational Leadership: Function as the highest-ranking administrator on duty, overseeing all facility operations to ensure patient care standards are met during night hours.
• Staff Management & Staffing: Monitor staff performance, assign duties, manage last-minute staffing shortages, and ensure safe staffing levels for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Emergency Response: Serve as the primary contact for clinical emergencies, facility issues, and critical incidents.
• Compliance & Safety: Enforce hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., Joint Commission, state board of nursing).
• Administrative Oversight: Conduct rounds to evaluate unit activities, manage patient placement, and ensure compliance with medication storage and documentation standards.
• Clinical Support: Provide support and guidance to clinical staff, assisting with complex patient situations or family inquiries. 
   

 

• Leadership & Decision Making: Ability to lead teams and make critical decisions under pressure.
• Communication & Conflict Resolution: Excellent communication skills to manage staff, patient, and family concerns efficiently.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively addressing operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Clinical Competence: Strong background in acute care to support staff in clinical decision-making.
