Job Description:

• Scope & Cost Analysis: Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand project scope. Perform detailed material quantity take-offs.
• Estimation & Bidding: Prepare, assemble, and finalize competitive, detailed estimates and proposals for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
• Vendor/Subcontractor Management: Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare comparative studies for vendor selection.
• Value Engineering: Propose cost-efficient alternatives and conduct value analysis to optimize project costs without sacrificing quality.
• Database Management: Maintain a historical cost database for accurate, data-driven forecasting on future bids.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, clients, and design teams to address constructability issues and resolve technical questions. 
   

• Experience: Generally requires 3–5+ years of experience in construction estimation, specifically in MEP disciplines.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff) and understanding of local building codes.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
