MEP BIM COORDINATOR

Job Description:

Responsibilities
Model Coordination: Combine architectural, structural, and MEP models into a single federated project model.
Clash Detection: Run spatial conflict tests using software like Navisworks, document clashes, and drive resolution meetings.
Standards Enforcement: Ensure team compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), naming conventions, and LOD (Level of Development) requirements.
Quality Control: Perform routine model audits and guarantee constructability of MEP routing before prefabrication or installation.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between project managers, MEP engineers, and on-site contractors. 
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
Experience: 3 to 6+ years of dedicated BIM coordination experience within the construction industry.
Software Literacy: Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP), Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of MEP engineering layouts, system routing hierarchies, and local building codes.
Soft Skills: Strong conflict resolution, team leadership, and cross-disciplinary communication skills.
