Job Description:
Responsibilities
Quantity Take-Off: Accurately measure and extract quantities for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works from engineering drawings and CAD files.
Tendering and Procurement: Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), compiling tender packages, and evaluating contractor bids.
Cost Reporting & Monitoring: Help track project budgets, record variations, and assist in preparing monthly financial and cost reports.
Valuations: Verify subcontractor payment applications and prepare interim payment certificates.
Site Coordination: Regularly visit job sites to verify installed MEP works and ensure alignment with design specifications and budget.
Variation Claims: Identify and quantify changes to the project scope and help prepare cost evaluations for change orders.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in a cost consultancy or construction firm, with a focus on MEP systems.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity take-off software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam Revu, or PlanSwift).
Soft Skills: Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, and project managers.
