Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Material Testing: Conduct routine tests on cement, sand, aggregates, and steel in field labs.
Concrete Quality Control: Perform slump tests, cast concrete cubes, cure samples, and run compressive strength tests.
Site Inspections: Check rebar placement, formwork, and concrete pouring activities against approved drawings.
Documentation: Maintain test registers, daily inspection logs, and material certificates.
Standard Compliance: Ensure work follows relevant standards like IS codes (e.g., IS 456) or international equivalents.
Non-Conformance Reporting: Note minor site defects and report deviations to senior managers.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of material testing methods, reading structural drawings, and using MS Excel.
Soft Skills: Good observation, basic communication, and readiness to learn on-site.
