Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Reconciliation & Audits: Perform regular cycle counts, reconcile system records with physical stock, and investigate any discrepancies.
- Cost Analysis: Track the financial flow of inventory, analyze manufacturing or purchase costs, and identify cost variances.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare inventory aging reports, roll-forward schedules, and monitor slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Month-End Closing: Process inventory adjustments, calculate reserves, and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional credentials like a CPA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly preferred.
- Experience: Typically 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in inventory accounting, supply chain, or manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
