Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Risk Management: Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify unsafe conditions or practices.
- Policy Implementation: Design and implement workplace-specific health, safety, and environmental strategies in compliance with legal regulations.
- Incident Investigation:
Investigate accidents, determine root causes, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Employee Training: Organize and conduct safety orientations, training workshops, and emergency evacuation drills.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure the company adheres to local and national environmental and occupational safety laws, submitting necessary reports to government agencies.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Certifications: Recognized safety credentials like OSHA, NEBOSH, or IOSH are highly sought after.
- Communication: Strong ability to lead meetings, enforce protocols, and deliver impactful safety campaigns.
- Problem-Solving: Capability to assess situations quickly and exercise authority to halt hazardous operations when necessary.
