HSE ENGINEER

Job Description:

Responsibilities
 
  • Compliance & Policy: Ensure site compliance with local and international HSE laws, as well as internal corporate policies.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential workplace hazards and establish control measures and safe work procedures (e.g., Job Safety Analysis and Permit to Work).
  • Incident Management: Lead root-cause analyses of accidents or near-misses and formulate corrective actions to prevent recurrence
    .
Training & Awareness: Design and lead safety training programs and routine toolbox talks for personnel.
Auditing & Reporting: Conduct routine site inspections, evaluate safety equipment, and generate detailed performance and trend reports.
Environmental Impact: Monitor waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices.
 
 
Essential Qualifications
 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Electrical), Occupational Health and Safety, or Environmental Science.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or an advanced PG Diploma in HSE.
     
  • Experience: Typically requires 2 to 5+ years of relevant experience in project support, manufacturing, or construction environments.
     
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills for training, and proficiency in data management and safety tracking software (e.g., MS Excel, PowerBI, SAP).
