Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Obstetrics: Provide prenatal and antenatal check-ups, monitor fetal development, and assist in uncomplicated deliveries or births.
- Gynecology: Conduct pelvic exams, Pap smears, and breast exams. Diagnose and treat menstrual disorders, PCOS, and reproductive infections.
- Primary Care & Preventative Health: Educate patients on reproductive health, contraception, and disease prevention.
- Triage & Referral: Perform initial evaluations, provide family planning services, and refer high-risk pregnancies or surgical cases to an OB-GYN (Indeed) or specialized surgeon.
- Patient Management: Document medical histories, manage treatment plans, and coordinate with midwives and nursing staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialized training or a diploma in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Certifications: Valid state/national medical council registration and certifications like the DRCOG or equivalent.
- Skills: Excellent clinical judgment, effective interpersonal communication, and emergency response capabilities.
