Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance: Ensure venues do not exceed maximum occupancy limits and comply with fire and life safety codes.
Crowd Flow Planning: Design and monitor entry, exit, and egress routes to prevent bottlenecks and ensure smooth pedestrian movement.
Emergency Response: Coordinate with law enforcement, medical staff, and emergency services during incidents.
Staff Supervision: Train, deploy, and supervise event staff or security personnel.
Behavior Monitoring: Watch crowd dynamics, intervene in unsafe situations, and document incidents.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Typically requires 3 to 10 years of experience in crowd safety, event management, or security leadership.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with crowd dynamics, pedestrian modeling tools (like MassMotion or Legion), and local safety regulations.
Communication: Strong verbal and crisis communication skills to direct teams and address crowds under high-pressure conditions.
Decision Making: Ability to make swift, firm decisions during emergencies.
