Job Description:
Core Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership: Oversee daily patient care workflows and guide nursing staff during shifts.
Quality & Safety: Monitor adherence to surgical safety standards, sterile techniques, and infection control.
Staff Mentorship: Train new nurses, evaluate clinical competencies, and provide on-the-floor resource support.
Patient Advocacy: Handle complex patient assessments, monitor pre- and post-operative progress, and resolve family concerns.
Administrative Support: Assist the nurse manager or director with scheduling, workflow audits, and implementing quality improvement projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred for advanced Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) tracks.
Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of clinical experience in surgical services, operating room (OR), or progressive care units.
