Job Description:

• System Installation & Commissioning: Mounting and positioning IP and analog cameras, running structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Coaxial), and setting up recording devices like DVRs and NVRs.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving hardware failures (camera malfunctions, power supply issues) and software-related problems (recording errors, connectivity drops).
• Network Configuration: Configuring IP addresses, resolution, and bitrates; managing routers for port forwarding; and setting up P2P access for remote monitoring.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conducting regular site surveys and system audits to ensure all components are functioning optimally and comply with safety standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining detailed logs of service calls, updating installation checklists, and documenting network credentials and camera locations.
• Client Support: Providing technical training to end-users on how to operate surveillance software and retrieve historical footage. 
   

• Education: Usually requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in CCTV brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, or Honeywell.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking principles (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, switches, and routers).
  • Experience with integrated systems like Access Control, Fire Alarms, and Intrusion systems.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, customer service, and the ability to work independently at remote client sites.
