AV DESIGN ENGINEER

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
System Design & Engineering: Create functional AV solutions including video conferencing, displays, microphones, and automated control frameworks. 
Documentation & CAD: Draw clear signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, floor plans, and reflected ceiling plans using tools like AutoCAD or Visio. 
Sales & Pre-Sales Support: Assist sales teams by performing site surveys, estimating labor, and generating accurate Bills of Materials (BOM).
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with architects, IT administrators, and general contractors to ensure infrastructure readiness. 
Technical Support: Act as the subject matter expert to help field technicians troubleshoot and commission complex setups. 
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of AV-over-IP, signal flow, acoustics, and network configuration.
Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, or D-Tools.
Platform Familiarity: Knowledge of major hardware/control ecosystems like Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, or Biamp.
Certifications: Industry credentials like AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or CTS-D (Design) are highly preferred.
Education: Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
