Job Description:

• Policy Development: Creating and maintaining internal anti-money laundering (AML) policies, procedures, and controls.
• Risk Assessment: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks of money laundering and terrorist financing.
• Transaction Monitoring: Monitoring customer transactions for suspicious activity, including fiat and cryptocurrency, and investigating potential fraud.
• Regulatory Reporting: Filing suspicious activity reports (SARs) and, in some cases, threshold transaction reports with relevant authorities.
• KYC/CDD Oversight: Managing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.
• Training & Auditing: Training staff on AML compliance and conducting internal/external audits to identify and fix program weaknesses.
• Liaison: Serving as the main contact for regulatory bodies and law enforcement. 

• Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, law, criminal justice, or a related field.
• Certification: Specialized certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) are highly preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or forensic accounting within the financial sector.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of AML laws, such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) .
• Skills: Strong analytical, investigation, and reporting skills.
