Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping & Ledger Management: Manage general ledgers, record daily financial transactions, and reconcile bank statements.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor payments, verify invoices, and follow up with clients for timely collections.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in month-end and year-end closures, and generate financial statements (balance sheets, cash flow).
Compliance & Tax: Prepare and file statutory returns (such as GST and TDS in the Indian context) and assist with internal or external audits.Expense Management: Oversee petty cash disbursements and verify branch or travel expense vouchers. 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent). Candidates with certifications like CA, ACCA, or CMA are preferred for advanced roles. 
  • Experience: Typically 1 to 4 years of hands-on accounting experience. 
  • Software Skills: High proficiency in accounting software like Tally ERP, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is also mandatory. 
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry to avoid discrepancies in financial reporting.
  • Communication: Ability to follow up professionally with clients on pending payments and coordinate with internal departments.
  • Analytical Thinking: Capability to identify root causes of reconciliation mismatches and propose corrective actions.
