Responsibilities

Team Supervision: Assign daily tasks, conduct regular safety briefings, and manage schedules for technicians, engineers, and external contractors.
Technical Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of critical building infrastructure including HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and fire-life safety equipment.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all building operations adhere to local safety regulations, labor codes, and health & safety standards.
Preventive Maintenance (PM): Implement and monitor PM schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of physical assets.
Vendor Management: Coordinate with external specialists and service providers for specialized technical repairs or parts procurement.
Budget & Reporting: Track operational metrics and assist facility managers with cost control, resource allocation, and reporting.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

Education: Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or completion of a recognized technical trade school.
Experience: 3-5+ years in facilities management or a related building services role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, energy management, and blueprint reading.
Certifications: Relevant safety or trade licenses (e.g., OSHA, HVAC/R certified, or local electrical/plumbing licenses) are often required.
Soft Skills: Strong crisis management, problem-solving, and communication abilities for liaising with both technical teams and senior management.
