SR. ELV DESIGN &ESTIMATION ENGINEER

Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • System Design & Engineering: Develop functional designs, shop drawings, schematics, and technical datasheets for ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, Structured Cabling, and BMS (Building Management Systems). 
  • Cost Estimation & BOQ: Analyze tender documents, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimation models for project proposals.
  • Vendor & Material Management: Source quotations from suppliers, negotiate equipment costs, and coordinate the approval of technical and commercial submittals. 
  • Tendering & Presales: Support pre-sales activities by drafting proposals and clarifying post-bid queries to ensure alignment with project specifications and budgets. 
  • Compliance & Coordination: Ensure all designs comply with relevant international engineering codes, statutory requirements, and client standards.
Key Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
  • Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 3 to 10 years of experience in MEP/Building Services or industrial security systems, depending on the scale of the role.
  • Technical Software Skills: Proficiency in design and project management tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and MS Office.
  • Competencies: Strong understanding of standard costing sheets, bidding strategies, and excellent technical negotiation skills.
