Responsibilities

Claim Auditing & Resubmission: Review, audit, and resubmit rejected medical or financial claims with proper coding formats to insurance companies within stipulated deadlines.
Denial Analysis: Analyze the root cause of claim denials (medical or technical) and prepare denial arguments.
Cross-Departmental Coordination: Follow up with attending physicians for claim justifications and update billing officers to prevent future rejections.
Reconciliation: Compile monthly reconciliation sheets and track denial trends, highlighting discrepancies by various payers.
Compliance & Policy: Ensure claims adhere strictly to agreed price lists, provider manuals, and established medical ethics.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Usually 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in medical insurance claims resubmission, denial analysis, and medical coding.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software, revenue cycle management (RCM) tools, and spreadsheets.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential to justify denials and coordinate with various stakeholders.
