Job Description:

• Surveillance & Data Analysis: Monitor, interpret, and report on Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) and community-spread illnesses.
• Outbreak Management: Lead immediate contact tracing, isolate infected individuals, and enforce containment action plans during a crisis.
• Policy Development: Design, update, and enforce clinical safety protocols in line with national and international health regulations.
• Staff Education: Teach hospital staff proper hand hygiene, sterilization techniques, and the correct deployment of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Facility Auditing: Conduct regular rounds to inspect environments, ensure proper hazardous medical waste handling, and evaluate compliance.
• Interagency Collaboration: Partner with government groups like public health departments to coordinate emergency preparedness plans.

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certification: Certified in Infection Control (CIC) credential via CBIC is often required or strongly preferred for advancement.
• Analytical Skills: High proficiency in epidemiology, biostatistics, and interpreting laboratory micro-biology reports.
• Communication Skills: Strong instructional capabilities to conduct training seminars and deliver critical updates under high-pressure scenarios.
