MEP PROCUREMENT ENGINEER

Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • Sourcing & Bidding: Identify purchasing needs and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and electrical/ELV materials. 
  • Technical & Commercial Analysis: Review technical submittals, drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) to ensure vendor offerings comply with project specifications. 
  • Negotiation & Vendor Management: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors. 
  • Cost Control: Prepare price comparison statements and cost analysis reports to maximize project profitability and minimize direct costs. 
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Track procurement status, ensure timely delivery of materials, and manage long-lead items to prevent project delays.
  • Documentation: Maintain procurement logs, Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), and material inspection records.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Typically 3 to 8 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or construction estimation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in interpreting MEP engineering drawings and using AutoCAD.
  • Computer Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office (especially MS Excel) and ERP/SAP procurement modules.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and cross-departmental communication skills.
