Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Dispensing Support: Measure, count, package, and label medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Customer Service: Greet patients, answer phone calls, and direct medical or prescription-related questions to the pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and stock deliveries. Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, and check for expired medications.
- Administrative Tasks: Process sales and insurance transactions, maintain patient files, and handle billing.
- Compliance: Maintain a clean workspace and adhere to strict patient confidentiality and privacy regulations.
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Attention to Detail: Critical for accurately counting pills, printing labels, and avoiding dispensing errors.
- Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with pharmacy management software and point-of-sale (POS) cash registers.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and empathetic skills for dealing with customers.
