Job Description:
Responsibilities
Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
Verify timesheets, hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and commission calculations.
Enter data for tax withholdings, benefit deductions, and direct deposit updates.
Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal labor and tax laws.
Investigate and fix payroll errors or discrepancies.
Answer employee questions regarding paychecks, taxes, or deductions.
Partner with the HR and finance teams to update new hires, terminations, and status changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma; a degree in accounting, finance, or human resources is often preferred.
1 to 3+ years of experience in payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of payroll software like ADP, Workday, Paychex, or QuickBooks.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data sorting and analysis.
High attention to detail and strong math skills.
