Responsibilities

Processing & Calculations: Calculate net salaries, overtime, bonuses, and holiday deductions. Process direct deposits and issue checks.
General Ledger & Reconciliation: Prepare and record payroll journal entries, reconcile payroll accounts, and investigate discrepancies.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and file accurate payroll taxes (federal, state, and local) and assist with year-end tax forms.
Record Keeping: Maintain and update employee records regarding hires, terminations, leaves, and benefits in payroll systems.
Employee Support: Respond to inquiries and resolve any payroll-related discrepancies or issues raised by employees.

Key Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll administration or accounting.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise payroll and accounting software (e.g., ADP, Workday, QuickBooks Payroll).
Knowledge: Deep understanding of governmental tax laws, payroll legislation, and accounting principles.
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strict adherence to data confidentiality, and strong analytical skills.
