Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Scheduling & Administration: Organize appointments, manage patient flow, check-in patients, and handle intake/discharge procedures.
- Communication Liaison: Act as the main point of contact between patients, families, and medical staff/specialists.
- Patient Education & Support: Educate patients on treatments, procedures, and care plans while addressing concerns with empathy.
- Insurance & Billing: Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries or financial arrangements.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant patient records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous work experience as a patient coordinator, receptionist, or in a similar administrative role.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills to provide empathetic support to patients and families.
- Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and, often, Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
- Organization: High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
