Job Description:

• Care & Handling: Receive, identify, log, and safely store deceased individuals.
• Autopsy Assistance: Prepare bodies for post-mortem examinations, pass tools to pathologists, and surgically close incisions post-examination.
• Body Preparation: Clean, dress, and prepare bodies for viewings, burial, or cremation, including supporting embalming or restorative work.
• Sanitation & Governance: Sterilize medical equipment, deep-clean work areas, and ensure biohazard or medical waste is safely discarded.
• Documentation: Verify identification tags, process release paperwork with funeral directors or law enforcement, and maintain accurate electronic files.
• Liaison Support: Interact professionally with grieving family members, police, coroners, and religious leaders regarding cultural preferences.

• Emotional Resilience: Ability to work daily in sensitive environments with death and trauma.
• Technical Precision: Strong attention to detail regarding health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to lift, move, and transfer heavy caskets and bodies safely.
• Hygiene Compliance: Deep knowledge of infection control and hazardous substance handling.
