MEP PROJECT MANAGER

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Design Review:
  • Review design basis reports, technical specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQ) from consultants.
Coordinate with civil, structural, and architectural teams to prevent design clashes. 
Budget & Cost Control:
  • Prepare and manage the total MEP budget.
  • Estimate material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. 
Execution & Site Management:
  • Supervise day-to-day site activities and installation schedules.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal engineering teams.
  • Obtain necessary statutory, legal, and government clearances or permits. 
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
  • Conduct regular site audits and quality inspections.
  • Ensure all installations comply with local building codes, statutory laws, and safety regulations. 
Testing & Handover:
  • Lead system testing, commissioning, and final project handover to the client. 
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
Experience: 5 to 10+ years of engineering experience with a strong focus on MEP site execution and project leadership.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HVAC, electrical grids, plumbing, fire fighting, ELV (Extra-Low Voltage), and local safety codes.
Soft Skills: Strong contract negotiation, team leadership, risk management, and multi-discipline communication skills.
