MEP BIM COORDINATOR

Job Description:

Core Responsibilities
Clash Detection & Resolution: Run clash tests using tools like Navisworks to find and fix conflicts between MEP services, architecture, and structures. 
Model Federation: Combine separate trade models (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection) into a single master project model. 
Standard Compliance: Ensure all team members follow project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and company modeling standards. 
Cross-Team Communication: Lead coordination meetings with contractors, engineers, and clients to discuss design changes and constructability. 
Deliverable Management: Produce coordinated service drawings (CSD), shop drawings, and penetration layouts.
Key Requirements & Skills
Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of MEP engineering systems, ceiling space hierarchies, and local building codes.
Experience: Usually requires 10 to 12 years of hands-on experience in MEP modeling and construction coordination.
Communication: Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills to mediate between different trade contractors.
