Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Site Management & Supervision: Oversee HV/EHV substation construction, including GIS/AIS installation, circuit breakers, isolators, and transformers.
- Commissioning & Testing: Supervise HV equipment testing (e.g., Hi-pot, Tan Delta, Protection Relays) and ensure successful commissioning.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, electrical safety rules, and statutory norms.
- Technical Oversight: Review SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), GA drawings, protection schemes, and cable schedules.
- Contractor & Vendor Management: Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure quality workmanship.
- Troubleshooting: Lead root-cause analysis for system disturbances and handle breakdown maintenance.
Qualifications
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Experience: Generally 5–15+ years in high-voltage substation projects, power plants, or infrastructure.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in IEC/IEEE standards, protection systems, and HV equipment.
- Leadership: Strong team management and client-facing skills.
