Job Description:

Responsibilities
1. Curriculum & Instruction
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and execute age-appropriate lesson plans in alignment with the school’s curriculum (e.g., Reading, Writing, Math, and Science).
  • Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of varying learning styles, including English Language Learners (ELL) and gifted students.
  • Assessments: Design and implement formative and summative assessments to track student progress.
  • Resource Management: Create or select engaging, hands-on learning materials and maintain an organized, stimulating classroom environment.
2. Classroom Management & Pastoral Care
  • Behavior Management: Set clear, consistent expectations for behavior, promoting positive discipline, conflict resolution, and self-regulation.
  • Student Well-being: Monitor the social, emotional, and physical well-being of each child, ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
  • Routine Management: Oversee daily classroom routines, including taking attendance, managing transitions, and supervising students during recess or transitions. 
3. Communication & Collaboration
  • Parent Engagement: Maintain open communication with parents/guardians through regular updates, report cards, and scheduled parent-teacher conferences to discuss academic and social progress.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with specialist teachers (e.g., Art, Physical Education, Music, Language) and grade-level teams to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
