FINISHING QAQC ENGINEER

Job Description:

Responsibilities
Finishing Inspections: Inspect plastering, tiling, marble fixing, gypsum ceilings, painting, joinery, and door/window installations on site.
 
Material Approvals: Verify incoming architectural materials against approved samples, data sheets, and local codes prior to application.
 
ITP & Method Statements: Follow Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure work method statements are strictly executed by subcontractors.
 
Non-Conformance Reports (NCR): Issue NCRs for poor workmanship or non-compliant materials, and track corrective action until closure.
 
Snagging & Handover: Lead final visual snagging walks, compile defect lists, and oversee rectification work prior to project delivery.
 
Documentation: Maintain inspection logs, checklists, material test reports, and as-built architectural records.
 
 
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
Experience: 3 to 6 years of focused QA/QC experience in building construction, specifically interior fit-out and architectural finishing.
Skills: Strong knowledge of finishing materials, snagging protocols, and international quality standards (ISO 9001).
Soft Skills: Clear technical report writing, effective communication with consultants, and sharp attention to visual detail.
