Job Description:

• Clinical Assessments: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status exams, medical history reviews, and developmental milestones. 
• Treatment Planning: Formulate customized bio-psycho-social treatment plans tailored to individual developmental needs. 
• Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, carefully adjusting dosages based on age and response guidelines. 
• Therapeutic Interventions: Provide targeted psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or family systems therapy.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with pediatricians, psychologists, school counselors, and social workers to ensure cohesive care.
• Family Psychoeducation: Counsel parents and guardians on coping strategies, home management, and developmental support. 
• Crisis Management: Provide emergency risk assessments, safety planning, and acute psychiatric interventions.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed, secure, and legally compliant electronic health records (EHR). 

• Neurodevelopmental Disorders: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and learning disabilities.
• Mood & Anxiety Disorders: Major Depressive Disorder, generalized anxiety, panic disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
• Behavioral Conditions: Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), conduct disorders, and trauma-related behavioral outbursts.
• Severe Pathologies: Early-onset schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and substance use disorders. 

• Required Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Training: Completion of a General Psychiatry Residency followed by an accredited Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship..
• Core Competencies: Exceptional empathy, cultural competence, crisis de-escalation, active listening, and strong communication skills with young children.
