Job Description:

• Infrastructure Design: Engineering and implementing security measures for computer systems, networks, and information. This includes building firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and fortified servers.
• Vulnerability Management: Performing regular security assessments, code audits, and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses before they can be exploited by hackers.
• Incident Response: Serving as the "first line of defense" during a security breach by investigating the cause, containing the threat, and implementing permanent countermeasures.
• Security Automation: Developing technical solutions and new security tools, often using scripting, to automate repeatable security tasks and mitigate vulnerabilities at scale.
• Policy & Compliance: Defining and documenting system security requirements, standard operating procedures, and ensuring the organization meets regulatory standards like ISO 27001 or NIST. 
   

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), network security protocols (TCP/IP, SSL, SSH), and database security.
• Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation, and sometimes C/C++ for systems-level security development.
• Security Tools: Hands-on experience with tools like SIEM (e.g., Splunk), vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys), and firewalls.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related STEM field is typically required.
