Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Direct and mentor piling craft professionals and subcontractors, scheduling daily labor and allocating resources.
Equipment Management: Coordinate the delivery, setup, maintenance, and safe operation of piling machinery (e.g., pile drivers, boring rigs).
Quality Assurance: Conduct routine inspections to ensure piles are driven or bored to the exact depths, angles, and load-bearing capacities required by project plans.
Safety Oversight: Enforce strict health and safety policies (e.g., OSHA protocols), mitigate job site hazards, and monitor the use of safety equipment.
Schedule & Budget Monitoring: Track work progress against the project timeline, prevent scope creep, and adjust operations to maintain budget and schedule targets.
Reporting: Maintain daily logs on site operations, material stocks, and pile-driving progress to report to management and project engineers.

Core Qualifications

Experience: Extensive experience in pile-driving or deep foundation operations, often with prior supervisory or foreman roles.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of piling techniques, construction codes, and ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is generally preferred, but proven supervisory track records are highly valued.
Soft Skills: Excellent conflict resolution, organizational, time-management, and proactive communication capabilities to liaise between crews, clients, and project managers.
