IT SUPPORT ENGINEER

Job Description:

Responsibilities
 
  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software incidents for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices across Windows and macOS environments.
  • System Deployment: Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, business applications, and peripherals for new and existing users.
  • Network & Connectivity: Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN issues to ensure seamless local and remote connectivity.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID. Ensure system backups, patch management, and antivirus protocols are active.
  • Ticket Management: Monitor and triage incoming support requests via IT ticketing systems, properly escalating unresolved issues to higher-tier engineering teams.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles.
     
 
Key Skills & Qualifications
 
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of OS environments (Windows, macOS, Linux) and cloud services like Microsoft 365.
  • Networking Knowledge: Solid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and wireless networking.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills with a methodical approach to identifying and addressing root causes.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
