IT SUPPORT ENGINEER

Job Description:

Responsibilities
 
  • Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware malfunctions (computers, printers, peripherals) and software errors across 
     
  • System Deployment: Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, business applications (e.g., Microsoft 365), and set up new user workstations.
  • Network & Account Management: Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues, manage VPN access, and set up user accounts in directories (e.g., Active Directory).
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor system performance, enforce patch management, and ensure data backups and antivirus software are up to date.
  • Documentation & Ticketing: Log service requests in ticketing systems, track issues to resolution, and maintain knowledge base articles.
  • Security & Compliance: Enforce IT security best practices, manage multi-factor authentication (MFA), and escalate unresolved anomalies to appropriate internal teams.
 
Essential Skills & Qualifications
 
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of proven work experience in internal IT, help desk, or technical support roles.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Deep understanding of IP-based protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), Microsoft 365, and Remote Desktop Tools.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, time management, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused attitude.
